VISTAS DESDE DOI SUTHEP- CHIANG MAI (PARTE 2)

En este post os traigo unas fotos con las vistas más espectaculares de todo Chiang Mai. Se trata del templo Doi Suthep llamado así en honor a la montaña en la que se encuentra. Se sube en tuctuc o autobús en una media hora más o menos. El templo fue construido a finales del siglo XIV y es un famoso lugar de peregrinación budista ya que, cuenta la leyenda que el templo fue construido en el lugar donde murió un elefante que llevaba una reliquia del mismo Buda.  La montaña tiene una altura de 1073 metros y tienes una vista perfecta de toda la ciudad de Chiang Mai. Es curioso ver los aviones que despegan del aeropuerto que están por debajo de donde te encuentras. El templo en sí es bonito pero personalmente no es muy diferente al resto de los templos que podréis ver en la misma ciudad, lo más espectacular sin duda son las vistas del sitio. 

In this post I show you some pictures of the most spectacular views of all  Chiang Mai. This is the temple of Doi Suthep named in honour of the mountain in which it is located. You can get there by tuctuc or by bus in half an hour, more or less. The temple was built in the late XIV century and is a famous place of buddhist pilgrimage since, according to the legend the it was built in the place where an elephant which carrying a relic of the Buddha died. The mountain has an altitude of 1073 metres, and you have a perfect view of the whole city of Chiang Mai. It is curious to see the planes that take off from the airport that are below where you are. The temple itself is nice but personally it is not very different from the rest of the temples you'll see in the same city, the most spectacular are undoubtedly the views of the place.
