TAILANDIA, MI LUNA DE MIEL - CHIANG MAI (PARTE 1)
Hola de nuevo! Siento la ausencia, los últimos dos meses han sido algo agitados. Después de las vacaciones la vuelta al trabajo me ha costado un poco, la vuelta a casa quizás algo más pero ya estoy de vuelta y ya es hora de que os empiece a contar el viaje que, sin duda alguna, hasta el momento es el más alucinante que he hecho.
Como sabréis me casé hace casi un año (9 de enero para ser exactos) pero por asuntos laborales no pudimos disfrutar de nuestras vacaciones de dos semanas a lo que llama la gente luna de miel :) Si, yo me fui a Nueva York en febrero pero Marcos tuvo que trabajar mientras estábamos allí por lo que no lo consideramos como luna de miel.
Bien, Tailandia fue un destino sobre el que hablamos en muchas ocasiones y el que teníamos como número uno en nuestra lista de países por visitar fuera de Europa. En total estuvimos 12 días por aquellas tierras y digamos que nosotros no somos gente a la que le gusta estar quieta en el hotel. Después de ver videos, leer blogs y pedir opiniones a los amigos nos marcamos una ruta: llegada Bangkok (volé Milán- Abu Dhabi- Bangkok), después tiramos para el norte para visitar la ciudad de Chiang Mai, luego volamos hacia la provincia de Krabi (zona playa) y como punto final fuimos a Siem Riep (Comboya) para visitar la ciudad de Angkor Wat. Resumiendo, cogí 11 vuelos en 14 días :) Os iré contando las detalles de cada lugar en posts posteriores.
Hoy toca hablar de Chiang Mai. Como os dije, llegamos a Bangkok pero lo cierto es que no os recomiendo quedarse allí más de dos días, a parte del Palacio Real y el mercado de las flores, debo decir que no me gustó mucho. Chiang Mai se encuentra a 700km de Bangkok (1 hora de avión) y cuenta con 700.000 habitantes. Allí nos quedamos durante 3 noches. Para mí es el sitio para visitar templos y hacer algún día de aventuras en la selva. Dividiré la parte de Chiang Mai en 2 posts para no hacerlo demasiado pesado. A continuación os dejó algunas de las fotos de los sitios que fuimos visitando en la propia ciudad de Chiang Mai. Como podréis ver hay mucho templo, la mayoría bastante recientes. Es una ciudad bastante simpática, tranquila, con mucho turista y que puedes recorrer a pie o desplazarte en sus famosos tuctucs. Sin duda es un lugar que recomiendo si estáis pensando en viajar a Tailandia.
Hello again! Sorry for the absence in these almost two months. After the holidays the return to work and return to home has cost me a bit but I'm already back and it is time that I begin to show your the trip that, without a doubt, until the moment it is the most amazing that I've done.
As you know I got married almost a year ago (9th January to be exact) but because of a labor issues, we were not able to enjoy our two weeks vacations that what call honeymoon :) yes, I went to New York in February but Marcos had to work while we were there so that we don't consider as our honeymoon.
Well, Thailand was a destination that we spoke about on many occasions and that we had as number one on our list of countries to visit outside of Europe. In total we were there for 12 days and I must say that we are not people that like relax in the hotel. After read blogs, view videos, and ask recommendations to friends we marked a route: arrival in Bangkok (I flew Milan - Abu Dhabi - Bangkok), after we pulled to the north to visit the city of Chiang Mai, then fly to Krabi province (the beach area) and as a final point went to Siem Reap (Comboya) to visit the city of Angkor Wat. In short, I caught 11 flights in 14 days :) I will be telling the details of each place in a later posts.
Today we talk about Chiang Mai. As I said, we arrived to Bangkok, but what is certain is that I do not recommend staying there more than two days, a part of the Royal Palace and the flower market, I must say that I really didn't like it. Chiang Mai is located 700km from Bangkok (1 hour flight) and has 700,000 inhabitants. There we stayed for 3 nights. To me this is the place to visit temples and do some adventures in the jungle. I will divide the part of Chiang Mai in 2 posts to not make it too heavy. Below you'll see some of the photos from the places that we were visiting in the city. As you can see there are a lot of temples, most quite recent. It is a city that is fairly nice, quiet, with a lot of tourist and you can walk or move around in its famous tuctucs. It is certainly a place to recommend if you are thinking of travelling to Thailand.
